(From Adrian Berthelsen)
As most of you may be aware (from an increase in my activity) I have taken on the role as Club Vice President.
I am very excited to take on this role as and look forward to working very closely with each and every one of you. I will outline some of my goals and plans and what I want to achieve for the coming years at the Clubs presentation day.
Talking of the Clubs presentation day, we are really trying to make this a good fun and encouraging day that will start to ignite and unite the club as a whole. I ask everyone from U6’s through to seniors to attend, please bring along your support groups. Mums, sisters and grandma’s (and Millsy) please don’t wear high heels, I will be running (with the help of some of the older grades) some fun mixed touch games where parents can join in with their children after the presentation is finished. This is for ALL (U6’s through to grandparents) to come together and join in and cheer each other on and have a laugh! We will also have access to the Bowling Greens for some Bare foot bowls ($5 per player). No need to bring a plate of food this year, the club is providing BBQ finger food after the presentation as well.
Can’t wait to see you all there.
The Club is doing a fundraiser at the Kalamunda Bunnings tomorrow between 8.30 – 3. If you are in the area or out and about and feeling hungry please pop by and buy a snag to support your club.
Also we are doing another Bunnings Sausage sizzle the following Saturday (15th September) at the same Kalamunda Bunnings. We are in desperate need of volunteers for this day as quite a few of the crew from the previous week will not be able to attend. Everything is organized, food and drinks and everything is all sorted, we just need helpers to either cook for a few hours or serve. You don’t need to be there all day, just a few hours is a massive help to the workload of our regular volunteers. The club is making some huge inroads into building and creating a better environment for ALL our members to enjoy, however we cannot leave this to just a handful of regular volunteers. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are also doing another fundraiser at the Kalamunda Night Markets in October, I will put up more info as we get closer to that day.
FINALLY the KALAMUNDA BULLDOGS UNDER 18’S have made it straight through to the PERTH YOUTH CUP GRAND FINAL Saturday 15th September at Dorrien Gardens with an 11:30 Scheduled kick off time. This is a MASSIVE achievement and the whole club should be super excited and PROUD of what these lads and their support staff have been able to do this year. I will be setting up some marques as a Doggies supporter area. I have been attending some of the 18’s training and they are 100 % committed to their team and club. As Vice President and parent of a junior league player who hopefully one day will get to play a GF, I am ASKING if we can also band together and show our commitment and support for these wonderful boys! Please come along, wear some blue and white and get behind this outstanding group of men!
Kalamunda Bulldogs are seeking players for season 2019.

Women’s League Tag:
As of 2019 we have a new “Kennel” and after a few tumultuous years we are heading in the right direction.

The Kalamunda Bulldogs Rugby League Football Club will be moving into new quarters for the 2019 season and beyond.
Club President Steve Mills has confirmed the move to the current Kalamunda Districts Hockey clubrooms and fields from next year, with negotiations continuing with the City of Kalamunda and various sporting clubs in the area for further resources.
The new facilities are just a stone’s throw away from Hartfield Park and will provide the Bulldogs with canteen and clubroom facilities- something which has been sorely missed over the last few seasons.
The best game of 2018 so far for the Doggies.
It was messy early with handling errors from both teams, the weight of possession eventually led to the Lions crossing for first points. A second try out wide soon after had the Lions out to a 8 nil lead. After repeat sets in the Lions 20, the Bulldogs struck back with a try from dummy-half to Haedon Carley just before halftime.
The second half was a physical affair with both teams losing players to injury. South Perth went in to score again after some soft Kalamunda defence around the ruck.
A long range try set up by a couple of the Bulldogs under 18’s young guns had Kalamunda within a converted try but that would be the final score of the game.
South Perth Lions taking it 14 points to 8.
A great day of football at Hartfield Park- thanks to the South Perth Val Murphy team and supporters for staying around for a sausage sizzle and a catchup.
